Job Description Job Description Platt College Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Veterinary Technology (VT) program as a Full-Time Instructor . This role is ideal for an RVT who is passionate about education, mentorship, and hands-on skills training, and who understands the time commitment required to support students in a rigorous professional program. Platt College Los Angeles consists of four Southern California campuses located in Alhambra, Ontario, Riverside, and Anaheim. Compensation Range: $ 70,304-72,800 /year This is a full-time, exempt faculty position with significant instructional, student support, and in-person lab responsibilities. The Veterinary Technology (VT) Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction to students that meet the program and course objectives. The VT Instructor should maintain an organized, disciplined classroom environment that is conducive to learning and imparts the requirements of the relevant workplace setting to existing students. Key Responsibilities Maintain knowledge of the subject matter in the field(s) or appointment and deliver engaging, organized, and effective instruction aligned with course and program outcomes Prepare students for an entry-level position in their industry of choice; create learning experiences to make the subject matter meaningful to students Support adult learners in a fast-paced, professional training environment Work evenings and weekends as required during instructional and lab periods Provide academic support, feedback, and mentorship to students Collaborate with faculty and administration to ensure program quality and consistency Continuously relate relevancy of all classes within curriculum to current module being taught Credentials and Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician Current California RVT license in good standing (required) Associate degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program (required) Experience in training, mentoring, leadership, or supervision strongly preferred Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills Commitment to student success and professional standards Applicants must submit a complete online application that includes the items listed: Platt College Application Resume/Curriculum Vitae Complete official transcripts of all colleges/university studies, including degree earned (copies will be accepted) Transcripts must include degree awarded and confer date Foreign Transcripts: Transcripts issued outside the United States require a course-by-course analysis with an equivalency statement from a certified transcript evaluation service verifying the degree equivalency to that of an accredited institution within the USA Equal Employment Opportunity In order to provide equal employment and advancement opportunities to all individuals, employment decisions will be based on merit, qualifications and abilities.
