Description: --- Operate the facility in a safe and efficient manner. --- Ensure Environmental compliance (Air and Water) --- Ensure compliance with NERC and WECC regulations. --- Enforce all safe work practices utilizing AES Southland Standards --- Complete operator rounds and make adjustments as required --- Review water chemistry and taking corrective action as required --- Complete high voltage switching orders in accordance with prudent utility practices --- Assist plant technicians and other personnel in the performance of their duties along with supporting the training and development of the plant technicians --- Interface with contractors and vendors --- Perform root cause analysis --- Work rotating shifts. Skills: plant, power plant, technician, operator, NERC, WECC, high voltage, utility, F2 Boilers, Forced Circulation Boilers , 320 MWs, 175 MW Top Skills Details: plant, power plant, technician, operator, NERC, WECC, high voltage, utility, F2 Boilers, Forced Circulation Boilers ,320 MWs, 175 MW Additional Skills & Qualifications: --- High School education or equivalent is minimum --- 5 years power plant operations experience --- Excellent communication skills --- Capable of performing moderate outdoor manual labor including but not limited to climbing stairs and lifting up to 50lbs. --- Computer literate and competent in the use of Word and Excel --- Able to work overtime as needed to support plant operations and maintenance --- Able to work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule including week-ends, holidays and call outs Experience Level: Intermediate Level About Aerotek: We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
