Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is currently looking for a Staff Analyst - Maritime Undersea (Experienced or Senior) to join the Maritime Undersea (MU) team in Huntington Beach, CA or Herndon, VA.

Maritime Undersea (MU) is a growing business focused on delivering complex solutions from seabed to space. As a Staff Analyst in the Maritime Undersea team, you will have the opportunity to integrate complex systems on our most critical programs. The team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Experienced or Senior Staff Analyst - Maritime Undersea.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with organization leaders on long-range staffing / workforce levels strategies and initiatives. Discover new opportunities and solutions for problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking
  • Lead the design, logistics and facilitation of large meetings/events, often in coordination with customer counterparts. Effectively plan what is to be achieved and involve all relevant stakeholders
  • Set high standards of performance for self and others; assume responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-impose standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed
  • Lead the development, planning and execution of employee-related activities and initiatives
  • Review and evaluate strategic organizational issues and identify implementation recommendations
  • Provide continuous assessment of overall meeting/review architecture, and analyze data used for communication (including optimizing metrics to focus on clear intent & actions)
  • Analyze and lead workforce access to key tools and data
  • Develop customer-facing briefings
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the project schedule and budget; monitor and track execution of the plan and communicate status. Anticipate important or critical events, identify resource requirements and assign responsibility for specific work, including deadlines and performance expectations
  • Plan and coordinate organizational facility requirements
  • Try different and novel ways to deal with work problems and opportunities. Collaborate with subject matter experts, suppliers, partners and customers to deploy initiative broadly

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

    BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • 3+ years of experience communicating, collaborating, and building consensus with internal and external stakeholders
    • 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining visibility metrics
    • Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment
    • A Counter Intelligence Polygraph

      Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
      • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
      • Bachelor's Degree or higher
      • Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information effectively to a wide variety of audiences
      • Experience with undersea products and environments

        Typical Education & Experience:
        Level 3

        Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

        Level 4

        Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.


        This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

        Summary pay range for experienced level: 79,050 - 106,950

        Summary pay range for senior level: 100,300 - 135,700
