Job DescriptionSalary: $80k-$100kThe Estimator position with RBA Builder's Inc. serves an essential function in construction operations through the preparation and/or supervision of conceptual and hard bid estimates for competitive or negotiated bids. The RBA Estimator handles day to day work challenges confidently and is willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change while showing resilience in the face of time constraints, frustrations or adversity while bidding various projects throughout Southern California.The following are some key requirements essential to the Estimator position:a. Understands field operations in relation to the construction means and methods with prior exposure to different project types.b. Has experience with interpretation and understanding of critical project documentation to determine special requirements for work.c. Prepares take-offs to quantify materials, special tools and labor required to complete work described in the construction documents.d. Reviews scope of work to identify any work not specifically included in construction documents.e. Has detailed knowledge of the systems installed by RBA Builders, Inc., and its various subcontractors.f. Understands the effects of building codes on the cost of work.g. Understands the effect of general conditions costs.
