Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS), Space, Intelligence, and
Weapon Systems division, is seeking both a Senior/Lead Ground
Systems Engineer - Integration and Test (Level 4/5) to support the
team in El Segundo, CA, Huntington Beach, CA, or Fairfax, VA. We
work with both commercial and proprietary customers in the
development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our team
focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of
mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group
works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept
development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build,
integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant
environments.
Position Overview:
The Senior/Lead Ground Systems Engineer will be a part of a
high-performing team that are immersed in high intensity
development projects. As a member of our team, you will have the
opportunity to work proprietary programs being performed for U.S.
government customers who are responsible for exciting national
security missions. This position will design, build, deploy operate
and maintain a wide variety of mission critical platforms and
systems for commercial and government customers. This role will
lead in vital systems development and integration and test
activities to establish product readiness and creation and
operation of a system integration lab (SIL).
Primary Responsibilities:
This position requires an active/current Top Secret/SCI U.S.
Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph. (A
U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months
is considered active.).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Level 4
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical
education from an accredited course of study in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an
equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work
experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard.
Level 5
Bachelor's degree typically 14 or more years' experience in an
engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 12
or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD
degree with typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering
classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree
from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer
science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility
(Basic relocation is available for internal candidates, based on
candidate eligibility.).
