Come be a part of something great!Job Description/Essential Duties: Reporting to the Purchasing and Planning Manager, the Buyer/Planner will support our purchasing department with the selection and procurement of products. This position is responsible for demand planning/forecast, supply planning, vendor relationship management, and inventory management.The duties of this key role in the purchasing department will focus on:
    • Forecasting/Demand Planning: Own and manage the SKU level forecast to improve the forecast accuracy.
    • Supply Planning: Release purchase orders to drive the right supply to support the business need. Manage the ETA of POs in the ERP system.
    • Inventory management: Continue to improve the inventory turn without a risk to supply.
    • Supplier relationship management: Manage the supplier performance and negotiations to obtain the best cost value from the suppliers.
    • New Product Launch: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Marketing, and Operations), to ensure the new product launch achieves the targeted timeline. Manage the product transition to avoid the inventory exposure.
    • Reporting: Create reports to enhance the efficiency of the workflow.

      • Experience with using an ERP system
      • Understand and familiar with Engineering drawings, technical documents, the manufacturing process and materials, and receiving and inspection process Supervisory Responsibilities:This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and Experience:
        • The desired minimum educational requirement to successfully perform this position is a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or another related field.
        • Five (5) years of experience in a demand planning/forecasting or supply chain management related field within a design and manufacturing environment preferred.
        • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills (i.e., pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, formulas, data analysis, etc.).
        • Understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment.
        • Experience with negotiations and supplier management
        • APICS CPM certification is preferred.
