What is my role?The Accounts Payable Lead will be responsible for processing invoices accurately and timely, act as a back up to the Corporate AP Manager, and provide support to the AP team.
What You'll Do

  • Process import production wires and apply payments; provide wire support to import production vendors
  • Take ownership for other vendors as assigned (process payments, obtain backup, reconcile statements, answer questions)
  • Work with the Corporate Accounts Payable Manager to prioritize payments based on available cash, potential discounts, vendor terms and the needs of Supply Chain management
  • Back-up the Corporate AP Manager in preparing check runs and wire transfers
  • Process employee expense reports via Certify
  • Support the Accounts Payable Specialists on vendor statement reconciliations and vendor questions
  • Ensure vendor accounts are reconciled
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors
  • Support Accounts Payable Manager and Accounts Payable Specialists on daily tasks and special projects
  • Work closely with other departments to obtain approvals, answer questions and

    What You'll Need
    • 5+ years hands on AP experience, preferably including some supervisory experience
    • AS400 experience a plus
    • Strong communication skills
    • Strong proficiency in Excel & Word
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
    • Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic
    • Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment
    • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment
    • Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers
