ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS{Research, benchmark, select and manage implementation of new manufacturing equipment.Manage large projects involving equipment moves and related facilities modification projectsManage, lead, and coordinate new product, facility, equipment, tooling, fixture, gage, and process and quality improvement projects, including schedules and budgetsProvide design and fabrication help needed for continuous improvement projectsAssist with troubleshooting manufacturing process issues involving product, facility, equipment, process, and quality problemsParticipate and contribute in design reviews for new productsMaintain accurate project documentation including milestone dates, capital spend requests, budgets and actual expensesLiase with outside suppliers to meet Cambro's needs for equipment, tools, and servicesCreate new equipment specification documents, RFQ and RFPImplement new products and processes into manufacturingDevelop new processes or improve existing processes and layouts to improve process capability, yield, ergonomics, safety, reliability, and qualityAnalyze existing processes and implement modifications to reduce costs through improved manufacturability and processability, efficiency, simplification, and standardizationOccasionally lead and supervise employees to perform project and engineering tasksPerform return-on-investment and payback analysis for capital projectsPerform industrial engineering time studies to establish baseline process rates, validate engineering standards, and balance assembly linesDevelop, write, and document set-up, start-up, in-process, assembly, maintenance, material handling, packaging, receiving, maintenance, and other procedures and specificationsTrain employees on proper procedures and use of equipment, tools, ergonomics, and safetyDevelop and perform DOE's for material evaluations and process optimizationDesign, perform, or assist in new and modified mold and tooling reviews, validations, evaluations, and first articlesAssess process capabilities of product and process attributesTravel to the various Cambro locations and to vendor locationsMaintain reliable and consistent attendance, including being punctual, and dependable in order to meet the needs of the department and the organization.Execute each essential duty satisfactorily in order to perform job successfully.Follows all safety procedures required in work area, wears PPE as needed, attends all safety meetings, and reports safety issues regarding equipment or unsafe/hazardous conditions.Performs effectively as a team member, able to work well with others, open to receive and give feedback, and treats everyone with respect.Takes ownership of own work and behavior, accepts accountability for own actions, encourages solutions, and communicates status of work/projects.Follow all department quality standards/criteria. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.7+ years of experience in a manufacturing and project engineering roleAbility to read drawings and engineering documentationReasoning ability/Communication both verbal & writtenMicrosoft suite of productsMust have a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft suite products, such as Office software, particularly Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.Ability to create and edit text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and schedulesHigh proficiency in 2D or 3D drawing capability for product, facility, equipment, tooling, fixture, and gage design on AutoCAD or SolidWorks requiredBasic knowledge and understanding of most industrial codes required (ANSI, ADA, OSHA, NEC, NFPA, IBC, ISO, DIN)Understanding of PLC programming and logic required; Ability to program PLC's helpfulKnowledge and experience with Statistical Process Control and Process Capability requiredExperience with Design of Experiments helpfulMust be an excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Robot programming, PowerBICAE software proficiency including FEA, Mold FillingLanguage skillsPE licenseEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
