Reports to: CIO Location: BJ’s Restaurants, Inc. Home Office in Huntington Beach , CA Status: Full Time / Exempt

The Director of IT Project Delivery is a key member of an innovative, tech-forward, fast paced, award winning IT leadership team is someone who works well in a fast-paced , high-performance, hands-on setting. In this position, you will be responsible for the discovery, design , and implementation of the information technology application portfolio and management of the project delivery systems. You will be accountable for providing leadership and reporting to ensure Information Technology programs and projects identified as critical to the success of the system are completed on time, within budget, and delivers the value outlined in respective program and project charters by working closely with others in the IT team, collaborating with internal clients and external business partners, and suggesting and establishing solutions . Y ou will provide effective communication on the health of the project portfolio, and partnership with all stakeholders to drive the required level of focus prioritization and resource allocations to successfully deliver key programs and projects. Most projects in scope will involve closely working with BJ’s internal application development team , internal cross-functional departments, external business partners, as well as outsourced and offshore 3 rd party development teams.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Responsible for providing leadership and enforcing governance over key initiatives and projects

Lead project deliver y team to work with users to gather requirements , identify success criteria, risks, contingency plans, resource requirements, timelines, and budgets , and support project resources

Work closely with IT and company leadership to establish and continually monitor priorities and resource requirements, and propose innovative solutions to address discrepancies and variances

Establish standards for lean yet structured project management capabilities, skills, communication methodology, and tools that align with industry best practices and disciplines

Develop and implement information technology project resource management processes and systems

Provide frequent and regular project update communications for all stakeholders advising of project health and status, risk level, needs, changes, and contingencies

Create and implement a transparent risk-based process for reviewing and addressing variances in capacity and demand forecasts posing risks to the successful delivery of strategic programs and projects

Work and partner with IT leaders to ensure resource allocations are aligned with priorities

Participate in and lead ideation sessions for system design, enhancements, and issue resolution

Support and grow other members of the IT project delivery team

Necessary Skills and Requi rements:

5-7 years of progressive experience leading complex , cross-functional technology projects

5+ years of IT management/leadership experience

Experience establishing and evolving agile, waterfall, and hybrid project management processes

PMP, ITIL, CMMI, or similar certification desired

Familiarity with Microsoft technology development stack and web/cloud development processes

Strong technology foundation with working understanding of database and networking concepts

Experience working with a collaboration tool such a Slack, Teams, Bitrix or others desired

Comfortable working in an environment leveraging leading-edge and even unproven technologies, and using innovation and creativity to develop supportable, scalable production systems

Exceptional writte n and oral communication skills

Strong documentation skills

Exceptional customer service orientation.

Experience working in a team-orie nted, collaborative environment

Experience with working in 24/7 environment
