The Director of Compensation is responsible for the design,
execution and management of system-wide compensation programs. The
Director partners with senior business leaders to create
compensation strategies that position Safran competitively in the
marketplace and support the achievement of our business objectives.
This role is based in our corporate headquarters in Huntington
Beach, California and will report into the Executive Vice President
of Human Resources. This individual will work with the
international HR leadership team and Safran Group corporate teams
to ensure compliant programs that are competitive and aligned with
industry standards and best practices. --- Guide the
decision-making process and final outcome by providing detailed
analysis/models, innovative recommendations, and expert advice to
management and HR partners.
--- Educate and coach management regarding Safran's compensation
philosophy, job family structures, market analysis, merit and bonus
processes. Partner with HR to develop key employee messaging on
--- Develop and oversee annual implementation and administration of
compensation programs and systems including merit, market and
equity analysis, salary adjustments and variable compensation.
Ensures data integrity within data management and reporting.
--- Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners on
total compensation offers and onboarding of incoming employees.
--- Assures through audits, reports and personal contact that
Company compensation programs are consistently administered in
compliance with Company policies and government regulations.
--- Establishes and monitors the compensation policies, guidelines
and procedures recommending plan revisions as well as new plans
which are cost effective and consistent with compensation trends
and Company objectives.
--- Partners with key stakeholders on collective bargaining
--- Keeps apprised of federal, state, and local compensation laws
and regulations in order to ensure Company compliance.
--- Acts as liaison between Safran Cabin and Safran Benefits Shared
Services for all benefit programs such as major medical plans, term
Education: Bachelor's Degree required
--- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in Compensation
--- Minimum of 4 years of leadership experience.
--- Must have knowledge of state and federal employment law.
--- Must be familiar with safety standards for an

--- Intermediate knowledge Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
--- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Project and Access
--- Proven ability to manage and implement compensation and benefit

--- Proven ability to collaborate and influence organizational
change and deliver exceptional customer service.
--- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), demonstrated
ability to communicate with all levels within the organization and
with international counterparts.
--- Strong project management skills.
--- Strong business acumen and understanding of ROI concepts and
potential impact of proposed actions.
--- Demonstrated ability to independently problem-solve and make
sound business decisions.
--- High standard of integrity and ethical principles.
--- Ability to work in a highly regulated environment that requires
strict compliance to regulatory standards.
