SMART's presence in the U.S., Europe, Asia, and Latin America enables it to provide its customers with proven expertise in international logistics, asset management, and supply-chain management worldwide.ResponsibilitiesSummaryThe Customer Service Representative is the primary contact for customer order management in a fast-paced and challenging environment.Esssential Duties and Responsibilities* Build customer experience by analyzing demand against supply commitments utilizing data and analytic tools* Validate customer purchase orders for accuracy; payment terms, minimum order quantity, pricing, part number, shipping terms, etc.* Regular communication with customers including but not exclusive commitments to order, rescheduling, ECO's, etc.* Sales order entry and backlog management (coordinate reschedules, cancellations etc. with customer and SMART materials team) along with Sales order release for shipment* Liaise with SMART warehousing team to ensure orders are processed and resolved along with any issues preventing shipment* Coordinate with SMART Accounts Receivables as needed for order release and resolve issues related to customer credit check holds* Manage return materials authorizations and close financial reconciliations. C* Communication with regional teams including Asia, Europe, North America and Brazil* Manage and implement deviations as neededImportant SkillsKnowledge, Abilities, and Skils* Highly motivated, organized, self-driven, expressive team player with a can do and fun attitude* Strong and convincing communication skills, both written and oral* Must be able to manage difficult or emotional customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve service; respond to requests for service and assistance; and, meet commitments* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in various forms and deal with several abstract and concrete variables* Ability to resolve most questions and problems and refer more complex issues to higher levels* Business acumen, understand business implications of decisions; display orientation to profitability; demonstrate knowledge in area of expertise; and, align work with strategic goals* Adaptability a must, be able to adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands; change approach or method to best fit the situation; and, deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.Minimum Qualifications* BA/BS Preferred* Previous customer service experience and working with CM (Contract Manufacturer) required* Microsoft Office, with Excel, Word and Power Point preferred* Working knowledge of SAP* Experience working with Contract Manufacturers* Minor Spanish and / or Chinese speaking helpful but not requiredInterview process includes completing our employment application forms.
