Job Description Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas has served
North County’s coastal communities since 1978. We’re located at

Hospital Encinitas’ campus includes Scripps Clinic Encinitas and an
outpatient imaging center. We’re home to notable specialty programs
including a 24-hour emergency room, accredited stroke care,
physical rehabilitation services (including a brain injury day
treatment program), our Baby Friendly birthing pavilion and a Level
II neonatal intensive care unit. This is a full time, benefited
position with 10-hour varied shift at Scripps Memorial Hospital
Encinitas. Includes $4,000 retention incentive and $3,000

of the Scripps Health pharmacy team, pharmacists and pharmacy
technicians provide a broad range of clinical services at our sites
and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other health
care team members to deliver high-quality, efficient services to

its teamwork and proactive nature. The pharmacists play a critical
role in partnering with physicians to provide quality service to
patients. Responsibilities include: - Primarily operation focused
centrally based; participates in direct patient care as clinical
competencies are approved and on approved shifts. - Documents the
care provided to patients. - Supervises the drug distribution
operation: responsible for assuring safe and effective alternatives
as appropriate. - Contributes to the accomplishment of initiatives
to improve the cost-effectiveness of drug therapy. - Routinely
communicates with physicians, nurses, and patients regarding drug
therapy. - Demonstrates ability to provide age-specific patient
care as established for area and job title. - Demonstrates ability
to perform competencies and perform activities as outlined in the
Pharmacist Authorities policy. - Provides pharmaceutical care
according to standards established by Scripps Health Pharmacy, to
assigned group of patients. - Reviews and evaluates individual drug
orders for appropriateness, safety, and cost. - Precepts students
and residents as assigned. The following are not eligible for
hiring incentives: - Internal candidates - Rehires that left
Scripps less than 3 years ago - Candidates with less than 1 year of
experience In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive
the following criteria must be met: - Must remain in original hired
FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter) - Must remain
in original department/specialty - Must remain in original Job
Title - Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a
case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive
bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter. Required
Education/Experience/Specialized Skills: - BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
Degree Required Certification/Registration: - California Pharmacist
License - AHA BLS - ACLS certification required prior to being
trained to respond to codes, can be obtained within 6 months of
hire Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized
Skills/Certification: - PGY1 residency or 3 years' experience in

Position Pay Range: $77.50-$99.20/hour
