Job Description Job Description Medical Assistant – Gastroenterology Department Assignment Duration: Through 2025 Position Overview: The Gastroenterology Department is seeking a proactive and dependable Medical Assistant (MA) to join the team through 2025. This role will primarily support physicians and clinical staff by assisting with GI procedures and handling scope reprocessing. Primary Responsibilities: Perform scope reprocessing duties (approximately 60% of role) in accordance with department and safety protocols Check-in patients, verify information, and prepare for GI procedures Assist providers during endoscopic and related GI procedures Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked exam and procedure rooms Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) Collaborate with nursing and provider staff to support high-quality patient care Required Qualifications: Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program Previous experience in a GI or procedural-based clinic strongly preferred Familiarity with scope reprocessing equipment and protocols Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment Excellent communication and teamwork skills Company Description Nursefinders Staffing Division offers employment opportunities with a stable, innovative company in Health Care Staffing, one of the fastest-growing sectors of health care.
