Job Description Company Description Lyon Music is a private lessons school offering in-home lessons and music therapy sessions in the greater Los Angeles area. Teachers and music therapists travel to the client's home to provide services. Lyon Music hosts 2 recitals per year for our community to come together and celebrate! Role Description This is a contract, on-site role located in Los Angeles, CA for a Music Therapist at LYON MUSIC. The Music Therapist will be responsible for using music in treatment sessions for individuals with mental health issues and developmental disabilities. The Music Therapist will keep weekly session notes and provide a progress report twice per year. Supervision is available as needed! Qualifications Music Therapy - MT-BC or planning to take the certification exam soon Experience in treatment for individuals with mental health issues and developmental disabilities Strong understanding of mental health and developmental disabilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with families Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy
