Adult Outpatient TMS + Psychiatry Locum Tenens Job in the Greater Los Angeles, California AreaDetails/Requirements: Outpatient services for 100% adult patients for 15-20+ hours per week, up to as much as 24 hours/week. Hybrid coverage need must visit each of 7 offices (which are in L.A. and Orange counties) in person one time per week. Initial assessments and ongoing follow ups can be done virtually (This is subject to change based on controlled RX criteria and emergency Covid declaration lift 5/11/2023 if Congress does not extent virtual rx for controlled medications). Patients are able to be seen virtually using the client s EHR platform. Must be computer savvy. Will consider up to two psychiatrists to cover the need, one for all 3 locations in orange county, and one for all 4 L.A. county locations. Hours of operations for each location are 8A-5P, Monday through Friday. Client s preferred days in office are Tues, Wed, and Thurs, but they are willing to work with the doctor re: which days they work, if necessary. No call, except ARNP patient question during business hours which would be a rare occurrence or a rare emergency which could be after hours. The locum tenens doctor does not need to be present for the cortical mapping. They have trained technicians who are able to complete this task. Prefer doctors who are experienced with TMS treatment, but they will provide training to candidates who do not have TMS experience. Will supervise nurse practitioners/ARNPs All ARNPs only provide medication management. You would be required to provide oversight for TMS patients under their care. Initial evaluations and medication follow ups plus overseeing the trained TMS technician and the ARNP. One hour for initial evaluations and medication management and TMS follow up appointments are for 30 minutes. You would not have a patient case load outside of current TMS patients in treatment. Three to six month minimum assignments preferred, but the longer the assignment the better.
