"Boardriders is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer including: Minorities/Women/Individuals with Disabilities/Protected Veterans" SUMMARY: Reporting to the Global Director of Financial Reporting, the Manager of Global Financial Consolidations will directly manage the global consolidations process to support and maintain the Company's multi-region consolidation of approximately 80 entities. The consolidation function is a dynamic and elaborate reporting process, covering 8 brands across three major regions, each region with three distribution channels (wholesale, retail, and ecommerce). In addition to the preparation of the monthly consolidated balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statements, the manager will support and work collaboratively with the regional and global finance function to support monthly business reviews, compile management reports and provide actuals to the finance team. Also, this role will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the company's existing financial reporting consolidation controls and for developing appropriate controls where appropriate to ensure the completeness of financial statements, the accuracy of results, timeliness of financials, and compliance with the company's financial policy and procedures. Further, this position will be responsible for assisting with the annual audit and preparation of lender-compliant quarterly and annual financial statements, including footnotes and management discussion and analysis. Lastly, the Manager of Global Consolidations will lead and assist with various project to continually enhance the financial reporting consolidation process, including systems-based improvements and procedural updates. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directly responsible for all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual global financial statement consolidation process, including foreign currency translation and remeasurement and the intercompany reconciliation and elimination process.
  • Coordinate and work closely with the regional general ledger teams to receive trial balances and reporting packages within specified deadlines.
  • Consolidate and integrate regional financial information into the company's global consolidation system (BPC) to prepare accurate consolidated income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cashflows under US GAAP
  • Analytically review consolidated financial results and work closely with regional general ledger teams to obtain explanations for significant or unusual fluctuations.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including ownership of the statement of cash flows preparation and all related non-cash adjustments.
  • Responsible for the preparation and distribution of the corporate closing calendar. This includes coordination and collaboration with regional finance teams for submission and review of financial supplemental schedules, review of intercompany account reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules to ensure the accuracy, validity and completeness of financial records.
  • Accountable for documenting, establishing, maintaining and monitoring internal controls for the financial reporting consolidation process.
  • Responsible for performance reviews and the training and development of team members.
  • Support management strategic initiatives and provide consolidations support for accounting transactions. -
  • Collaborate with and assist external auditors, including the preparation of footnote disclosure schedules and prepared by client schedules for quarterly and annual financial reporting. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance.
    • Minimum 7 years with current experience in financial reporting and multinational consolidation.
    • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills.
    • High level competency with ERP and reporting software applications (SAP and, BPC strongly preferred).
    • Capability to communicate clearly and effectively (both verbal and written) with all levels of staff and management and work collaboratively with regional finance teams.
    • Attention to detail and proven experience with managing projects and competing priorities.
    • Strong organizational, leadership and teambuilding skills with scalability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
      • CPA preferred or equivalent progressive background
      • Current experience with multi-currency and large multinational consolidation
      • Familiarity with SAP and BPC strongly preferred
      • Self-starter with a process improvement focus
      • Resourcefulness to problem solve, propose and implement solutions
